The Unity Centre Association for Black Cultures (UCABC) needs your help!

We’re looking for people of Black heritage, or for those with a connection to the Black community, to complete our short survey as part of our community mapping research project which is funded by the City of Vancouver.

This survey will not only map the Black Community in Vancouver and Lower Mainland, it will help outline the issues that matter. Whether the topic is housing, employment, religious/social/cultural events or simply day-to-day living, we’d love to hear your perspectives about what the city is doing…doing well…and could be doing better.

Our research team is also conducting short video/phone interviews (10-15 min) with members of the city’s Black communities. In addition to completing the survey, if you are interested in sharing your personal stories and/or experiences on this topic with those in city hall, please reach out to us at unitycabc@gmail.com so our team can arrange a phone call or video chat at a time convenient for you.

The data collected will be presented to the City of Vancouver in a final report, and will be used to campaign for more acknowledgment and recognition of — greater involvement from — and increased support for — the many Black communities living in the region.

Sincerely,

The UCABC Board
